Reset Student/Staff Account Password
There are three ways to change your password
1.If you have a home email set in Workday, please use below instructions:
1. Go to password.adams.edu
2. Click the forgotten password button below the login screen
3. Put in your username and 900 or 902 number (username is everything before the @adams.edu part of your Adams' email address)
4. Select your personal email to send the link to
5. Navigate to your personal email, open the email and copy the code and paste this into the code box from the password.adams.edu page
6. Reset your password, this must be at least 12 characters long
7. Try to signing into your Gmail account at gmail.com, to ensure your password change was submitted
2. If you know your password and do not have a home email address set in Workday:
Then go to Account > Change password
It usually takes about 20 – 30 seconds for the password change to go through, though it might take up to a minute or two
Update your home email address in your Workday account
3. If you have forgotten your password and do not have a home email set in Workday: (Contact Computing Services ((719) 587-7741))
Verify confirmation of ID questions set for students and staff
Students:
Date of Birth, Major, personal phone#, and personal email.
(other options include username or 900# if they do not know the personal phone, or email).
Faculty/Staff
Date of Birth, Job title, personal phone or email on file, and ASU ID (900#)
If they do not know their 900# they will need to get a hold of HR and try to get that information, before we try to help them.
Password reset process after previous requirements met:
Open a web browser and navigate to https://accounts.adams.edu
Click on Password Reset.
Enter your username.
Enter this Token Number:
Click on reset your password. The new password must be 12 characters in length and include 3 of the 4 types of the following characters: lower case letters, upper case letters, numbers, and/or symbols.
