Self-Service Password Reset Guide
Scenario A: I forgot my password
If you do not know your current password, use the self-service reset portal by following these steps:
Navigate to password.adams.edu
Click the Forgotten Password button located below the login screen. (Important: Do not enter your username or any other information before selecting this button).
Enter your Adams State Username (this is everything before the "@adams.edu" portion of your email) and your 900 or 902 ID Number.
Select your personal email address from the list to receive the reset link.
Open your personal email and locate the reset message. You can either copy the provided code and paste it into the code box on the password.adams.edu page, OR select the Click Here option and hit Continue.
Create your new password. It must be at least 16 characters long.
Try signing into your account at gmail.com to verify that your password change was successfully submitted.

If you have forgotten your password and do not see your personal email listed as an option on the reset site, please contact Computing Services directly at (719) 587-7741.
To protect your account, we must verify your identity before assisting you. Please be prepared to confirm the following details over the phone:

(If personal phone or email is unknown, you may provide your ASU username or 900 number instead).

(Note: If you do not know your 900 number, you must contact HR to obtain it before the HelpDesk can proceed with your password reset).
