Reconnecting Network Drives

Reconnecting to Network Drives on PC / Windows 10 Devices

1. In File Explorer, click on This PC in the left sidebar. In the quick access bar at the top, delete the text in that box and type in \\myfiles.adams.edu and press enter. You must use backslashes \\ because regular slashes will direct you to a webpage.

2. For remapping your X drive, navigate to your username folder, right click and select Map network drive.

For remapping your R drive to access Banner reports, navigate to the reports folder, right click and select Map network drive.

For remapping your S drive to access shared folders, navigate to your shared folder, right click and select Map network drive.

3. Select the correct network drive:
X: for your home drive with your username
R: for Reports
S: for shared
Then select Finish. The drives will appear under This PC, not Network.
