Backing Up a Computer
Backing Up A Computer
For ASU Staff
ASU staff can backup their computer by moving all their files and folders to their Google Drive
For CS Staff before Reimaging
Before reimaging, be sure to carefully backup all of the users documents. You will also need to identify what specialized programs are installed, such as Adobe Professional. If there are specialized programs installed, be sure to release the license keys and back them up individually.
Create a folder with the user's name the UDIUSMT share
Create a separate folder for each item you back up. (My Docs, favorites, desktop, etc.)
You may want to copy the entire user profile, based on the size and type of data stored. However, be more granular on what information is restored.
1. For Windows 10
