NOTE: Software Center now allows for individuals to install Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome on ASU windows (OS) devices without requiring Admin credentials. Please follow the instructions below to navigate to Software Center to install the browsers:
Software Center Browser Download/Install:
Search 'Software Center' in the windows search bar, and open the application
2. Make sure you are on the 'Applications' tab and then click on the browser (Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome) that you would like to install on your ASU device.
3. Select the 'Install' button to complete the installation
NOTE: If software center does not work, or you are trying to install additional browsers on your personal device try using the download instructions below.
To Manually Install Mozilla Firefox:
Using the browser on your computer (for example: Internet Explorer, Netscape...) enter, http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/.
On this page, click on the Download Firefox .
Firefox will begin downloading.
A pop-up will appear to put in an admin username and password, close out of that window.
ASU device will need an organization (Computing Services) admin credentials
Personal devices will typically only require personal pin/information setup by the owner of the device.
Firefox will then finish installing.
To Manually Install Google Chrome:
Using the browser on your computer (for example: Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge..) open the following link https://www.google.com/chrome/what-you-make-of-it/
On this page, click on the 'Download Chrome'.
The Google Chrome installation file will begin to download.
A pop-up will appear to put in an admin username and password.
ASU device will need an organization (Computing Services) admin credentials
Personal devices will typically only require personal pin/information setup by the owner of the device.
Google Chrom will then finish installing.
