If you are a student or faculty member and are currently unable to create or edit documents in Microsoft apps (like Word, Excel, or PowerPoint), your Adams State account may need a license update to unlock the desktop versions of these programs.
Currently, these licenses must be manually assigned by our computing services team. If you are locked out of editing features, please contact the HelpDesk to request a Microsoft 365 desktop license.
Email: computingservices@adams.edu
Phone: 719-587-7741
Once the HelpDesk confirms that your new license has been assigned, please wait a few hours before trying to use the apps. It takes a little time for Microsoft's system to sync your new permissions across their servers.
After allowing time for the license to activate, you can begin using the local desktop applications on your device.
Open the downloaded Microsoft application (Word, Excel, etc.) on your computer.
Sign in using your @adams.edu email address and password.
You should now have full access to create, edit, and save documents.
Need to print an assignment or document from your own laptop? You don't need to hunt down cables or install complicated printer drivers. You can use our WebPrint system to send documents directly to campus printers over the Wi-Fi.
Connect to Wi-Fi: Ensure your device is currently connected to the GrizNet Wi-Fi network.
Log In to the Portal: Open a web browser (Google Chrome is recommended) and go to webprint.adams.edu. Log in using your standard @adams.edu username and password.
Submit a Job: Click on Web Print in the left-hand navigation menu, then click the Submit a Job button on the right side of the screen.
Select a Printer: Choose the specific campus printer or print queue you want to send your document to from the list provided, then click Step 2: Print Options and Account Selection.
Set Copies: Enter the number of copies you need, then click Step 3: Upload Documents.
Upload Your File: Click Upload from computer (or simply drag and drop your file into the box).
Pro-Tip: While WebPrint accepts Microsoft Office files, saving and uploading your document as a PDF guarantees your formatting won't change when it prints.
Complete and Release: Once the status says "Held in a queue," simply release your print job!
Black and White: $0.05 per page
Color: $0.50 per page
Note: As an Adams State student, you automatically receive a $30.00 print credit per semester as part of your technology fee. Printing costs are automatically deducted from this balance.
