Getting your MAC Address From Mac (Apple Computer) OS X

The acronym “MAC” is a computer networking acronym, not related to Apple Computers.
A MAC address is also known globally as a physical address or hardware address for any networked device.

In Apple’s OS X operating system, they refer to the wireless MAC address as an “Airport ID”.

Follow these steps to locate yours

1) In the upper left, click on the Apple menu then click on System Preferences

2) Click on Network

3) Select the adapter that you would like to view the MAC address of.

4) Click the "Advanced" button toward the lower right.

5) Toward the bottom of the "Advanced" window, your MAC will be listed.

No settings need to be changed or saved, so you may close all windows.
