Employee Email Setup - Smart Phones

The instructions below are shown on an Android phone. For other phones and mail applications the setup process should be similar. 

Computing Services recommends using K9 Mail, a free Android mail client. It is available for free in the Android Market. 


For Faculty/Staff: Incoming Server Settings

  1. Protocol: IMAP (Not POP!)
  2. IMAP Server: staff.adams.edu
  3. Security Type: SSL
  4. Port: 993

Outgoing Server Settings

  1. Enter your username
  2. SMTP Server (outgoing server): mail.adams.edu
  3. Security Enabled: Type TLS
  4. Server Port: 587
