ASU Employee Computers - Power Management

To reduce energy consumption and cost, ASU Computers have power management policies in place that will require a computer to sleep if left idle for a certain amount of time. We understand that some employees would like their computers to be exempt from these settings. To exempt your computer from our power management settings please follow these instructions:

Go to Start > All Programs > Microsoft System Center 2012 > Software Center

Click on Software Center.

Once the Software Center opens, click on the Options tab on near the top.

Under Power Management, check the box next to "Do not apply power settings from your IT department to my computer"

You can also check the box under Computer Maintenance to "Suspend Software Center activities when my computer is in presentation mode"

This will ensure that no software will attempt to install while your computer is in presentation mode.
