Entering An Account Creation Work Ticket
Creating a Ticket
Computing Services utilizes Request Tracker (RT) to track work requests.
To assist us with providing the best service possible we ask that our customers enter in work tickets for IT related service.
To submit a work ticket: Log in with your ASU account to helpdesk.adams.edu
On the main page you can view a list of your open tickets. You can search by ticket number in the top left search bar.
To open a new ticket click on "New Ticket" in the top left.
Select the Account Creation Queue.
This procedure is replacing the Account Request/Acceptable Use Policy Form. There are new custom fields that are required, which includes the preferred login name, the requestor's 900 ID No., the Department, Job title, Supervisor Email, Banner Account required Yes or No, Shared drives access if needed, specify the name(s), and the type of Account required.
Username requirements The last name is required. We recommend using your first name and last name together, or first initial last name or first initial, middle initial, and last name. (It cannot include a period between the names).
NOTE -- New Account Types have been added to the drop down
For Work Study accounts, provide their student username followed by an underscore and ws, (studentusername_ws).
For Teaching Assistant accounts, provide the student username followed by an underscore and ta, (studentusername_ta).
For Graduate Assistant accounts, provide the student username followed by an underscore and ga, (studentusername_ga).
